Today on Part 2, we will discuss 3 more Poshmark selling tips to help you sell items FAST.
4. Have your own “branding” (thanks to Hombre for this tip!)
According to Entrepreneur’s definition, branding is “The marketing practice of creating a name, symbol or design that identifies and differentiates a product from other products.” It’s what sets you apart from your competitors. A solid example of this is Tiffany & Co. When you see a bright turquoise box with a classy silver bow, you will immediately think about Tiffany & Co. But branding is not just about the colors or the design that a business is using, it’s just a part of it.
The primary goal of branding is to set you apart from your competitors. Your closet’s look and feel, the tone of your captions, the way you respond to messages, and even how you interact with competitors constitute what branding is. When you have good branding, you’ll be on your way to be top of mind of your target market, which is what you should be aiming for.
5. Interact with fellow Poshers
Poshmark is not the place to keep away from the competition. Unlike other traditional online marketplaces, Poshmark offers a way for sellers to share each other’s closets. When another seller sees that you are sharing their closet, they might return the favor and share your closet as well! Not only will your items be visible to your followers, but to their followers as well.
For a customer’s perspective, when they see that you are active, friendly, and kind enough to share other people’s listings, they will be encouraged to follow you because you are supportive, even of your competitors!
6. Share your closet multiple times per day.
In order to rotate your closet’s visibility, share your closet multiple times a day. Poshmark gets a lot of listings per day and the marketplace gets saturated with new listings. Sharing your closet help you promote your items to your followers so that you will not get overthrown by new listings. The more they see you and your brands, the more likely they are to visit your closet and interact with you. This also lets your followers know that you are an active Posher and that you are just there and available to answer any questions that they might have.
