This brand’s original collection was women’s footwear in 1982. 2 years later, he started offering men’s footwear at a boutique on Columbus Ave in New York City. Unlike other fashion brands, Kenneth Cole was able to ramp up his credibility in the fashion scene by partnering with NGOs that promotes HIV/AIDS awareness. Over the years, Kenneth Cole was seen representing several environmental and social causes and issues such as LBTQ+, women’s rights, and even sensible gun reform.

Because of this, the Kenneth Cole became unstoppable in his field, being the first to jump and support important matters, he gained traction and has showed the world that a seemingly simple footwear brand can also make waves in the cultural and social scene.
